MailDrop User Permission Question

When logging into SFDC via MailDrop, I noticed that MailDrop checks for "Create Case" permissions.  We use MailDrop solely to Add Emails to Accounts, Contacts and other objects...we do not use cases and would prefer not to grant users Create Case access...  Is there a way to use MailDrop without granting "Create Case" permissions?

Thanks,
Eric

Yes. If the user doesn't have the create case permission, it will show an error to the user if they select the add a case option. It should all work fine. (I'm also intruiged as to how you worked out that Maildrop checks for that?)

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the quick reply.  I was posting on behalf of a user who reported they got the error message happened on installation.  But probably meant to write it happened upon using the AddToCase button.  Thanks for the quick reply!
