recordsetvar usage

Is it possible to use recordsetvar without using standard controller or any other controller.

no dude you have to use the standard controller ..in order to use the recordsetvar..

..........I completed that task using recordsetvar attribute for apex page and used standard controller for displaying the data of Account object in VF page............
