jhart How can I find the URL to the profile page (or, how can I tell if the enhanced page is enabled)?
During setup of Absolute Automation, we provide the admin with a link directly to the User Profiles page so they can rapidly add the right permissions to their Profiles.
However, the profile URL changes depending on whether or not the "enhanced" profile view has been enabled - and, if you choose the wrong one, the user is given an ugly error screen ("Insufficient privileges") instead of being redirected to the right one.
The two possible paths are:
/setup/ui/profilelist.jsp?setupid=Profiles
or
/00e?setupid=EnhancedProfiles
If there's no way to determine which link is the right one, we'll have to remove the hyperlink altogether and just tell the admin to navigate there...
Unfortunetly I don't think there is anyway to determine what profile page is enabled?
Sometimes sfdc creates some type of system flag to determine if optional features havebeen enabled but I am not seeing any this time.
