VF email template in IDE

Hi

I'm using the eclips IDE and I cannot find the template I just created.

Can I see the Visulforce Email Template file in the IDE?

Many thanks

Try hitting the refresh button in the upper right hand corner of your window, it looks like this:

See if that gets emails to your list.

Also, you have created at least one email template in the system right?

By default you cannot.

PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL NEED TO SAVE ANY CHANGES PRIOR TO PERFORMING THE STEPS BELOW.  If you do not, you will lose the changes as the steps below will re-get your project from salesforce.

However, with the following steps you can:

  1. Open the eclipse IDE to your org
  2. Right click on the top / root of the tree in the package explorer window (usually on the left) and select properties.
  3. A new window will open.  On the left hand pane of that window, expand the force.com entry
  4. Locate the "Project contents" entry below the force.com entry and left click on it.
  5. In the upper right hand corner (next to force.com project contents) click the "Add/Remove" button
  6. When the  "Choose metadata components" window appears, check the box next to email and click ok.

You might have to click ok again on the next window.   It will then re-get the project from salesforce.

Please mark this as a solution if this answers your question.

The above image shows the screen that I have.  Notice how email is checked.  Is this the screen you have? What edtion are you on?

KruviKruvi

Unfortunately for me it is not the same

Then either you don't have the correct version of the IDE OR your salesforce edtion doesn't allow you to access this data.  Are you on Enterpise or above?

KruviKruvi

I tried both on my dev org and my Enterprise demo org.

The IDE verion is:  24.0.0.201202291629
