lead old status

does SFDC storage old status values of a Lead and of a custom field? If so, how can I find them? I need to query them.

No, but can enable field tracking history.
Leads > Fields > Enable Lead History > select the Lead Source to track history

I selcted field tracking but as far as I know it only keeps track of a change in the field, that is, it tells that a change happened but doesn't storage the old value(s). Is this correct?
