What is the use of <apex:parm>?

<apex:param> tag is used to pass the value from visualforce page to controller.For Example:<apex:param name="val" value"parametervalue"/>you can access this value from your controller using below line.apexpages.currentpage().getparameters.get('val')<apex:param assignTo="controlllervariable" value"parametervalue"/>you can also use assingTo attribute to set the value in controller variable.
