autoupdate/autopopulate picklist

Is it possible to autoupdate or autopopulate a picklist? I have a picklist with users name. If a user changes his name, the new user name should be displayed in the picklist and the old name should be gone.

I think picklist can not do it for your requirement. I think you will have to create a custom setting and create a trigger on the user object. you need to update custom setting records when a user changes his name.
