Message Suppresion for the Just installed Chatter for iPhone & iPad

Is there any Declarative option to suppress the "Just installed Chatter for iPhone" Message? Or does this need to be done via a Trigger?

I haven't tried it, but I suspect a trigger with a little regex would work.
AFAIK there is no toggle for it, but you could add an idea for the PMs to review.

Just letting you know that Chatter Blacklists now supports blocking phrases which effectively means you can use this app to prevent the "just installed" messages.

 

You can download the app from the appexchange, and then set up a simple rule with the phrase "just installed chatter for" and check "prevent post on breach"

We tried the blacklist app (to delete the out of office replies) but for some reason it doesn't work on Chatter Free users.

It should work the same on all users. Did you receive an error message at all?
