"Authorization Required" page displayed when exception, instead of "Generic Error Page"

This has already been mentioned : why does Sites display an "Authorization Required" page when an exception is generated, instead of a "Generic Error Page" ?

We really need a better behaviour for public-facing web pages !

TIA,

The current setup is that the error message is to be displayed but requires authentication for security reasons (i.e. bad people could use the error message content to possibly find a way in).

I agree that we need a generic "oops" page.  I also think that it should email the admin anytime an excepion occurs.   VF sites don't do this now but did in early stages of the testing or so I have read.
