How to disable email notification when adding users to a Chatter group?

I'm mass adding user to several Chatter groups, but management doesn't want an email going out to the end users notifying them.  They want to send a personal invite from our VP.  

 

How do you shut this off?

So I would have to change this personal setting for all users, then change the personal setting back?

 

Thought there might be an org wide setting that would allow me to disable the "You've been added to Chatter group 123" email for all uses I am mass uploading.

 

Then when I am done, I could change the org wide setting back.

Based on my understanding, there is no way to disable this email notification for a group or for a user. You have to disable the whole function for a while and after adding the members, enable it again.
