Foce.com IDE Installation

Hi Friends,

 

While Installing the force.com IDE i am getting an error that is JVM terminated nd also some information will be displaying.

 

Please help me how to install the IDE..

Ensure you are not on on Java 7+. I had to revert my JRE to 6 to get eclipse to run correctly.

If changing back to Java 6 (only on pre-windows 7 boxes) try editing your force.ini file in your installation directory. Move the "MaxPermSize" option above the "vmargs" option. I've had to do this twice. Usually changing from OpenJDK to J6 will do it though.
