The CRM is a seperate system from social apps, which often have a plug in to the CRM to automate interaction. Unfortunately I'm not up on which CRM works most efficiently with which social app....so if your strategy is tied into a social app you may check reviews for whose CRM integrates best with it. (Currently I'm using LinkedIn, not really connected to saleforce, and Constant Contact, which is linked in to saleforce, but isn't really social media)
