How to integrate Salesforce chat messenger with third party

I've my own chat application running. Now I want to integrate this chat application with chatter massenger. I did not find chtter messenger API.  Could you please guide me how to proceed on this. Any tutorial?

Hi Sampakira,

 

Checked with the team inhouse and got to know that currently it would not be possible to integrate the Chat Widget with any other applications.

 

However, we do have this Idea on our Idea Exchange related to Chate messenger integration and would appreciate if you can express your use case on this post  and promote it.
