SF1 Visualforce Click-through

I noticed when adding visualforce to Salesforce1 in either the page layout, mobile card or publisher action, any interaction on the page causes it to reload in it's own frame before allowing the interaction.

For example, a page with a link, the link will be rendered, but attempting to click it or anywhere else on the embedded page causes the visualforce page to load full screen, then I'm able to tap it and navigate.

Is that behaviour intended, or is there a workaround?

I found this to be pretty odd as well - especially b/c the mobile card has no way of knowing if it's being invoked in "mobile card" or "fullscreen" view, so can't tailor its appearance accordingly.

Our mobile card is a list view.   We ended up choosing to show 10 items no matter what, and carefully choosing our mobile card size to cleanly clip all except the first two entries.

See this forum post for screenshots and info on a related bug (the "back" icon doesn't work from custom visualforce pages other than the mobile card itself).

I am experiencing this behavior as well. A simple mobile card with only a single link opens the mobile card full screen when clicking anywhere on the mobile card. Anyone fing out from the Salesforce1 PM if this is intended or changing in Spring 14 release? Anyone find a workaround?
