Ispita How do we assign different layout to Parent / Child Account
I need to assign different layout to parent and child account and I am not supposed to use "record types" . Can anyone help
BRupholdtWhile I'm no expert in SF, I believe the only way you can have different layouts and still let users with the same profile see them is to use record types.

RobLofaroYou definitely need record types and you can use workflow rules now (in EE and unlimited) to set the record type based on whether the Parent Account field is populated or not.
