Dynamic Choice - How to handle no results returned

Is there a way to put a decision in that routes the flow to a different screen if no results are returned by the dynamic choice? I don't think there is because the dynamic choice is evaluated when you get to the screen that contains the dynamic choice field. You can't put a decision before it because it hasn't been evaluated yet and you can't put a decision after it because it would be too late to be useful. Any ideas on how to handle this situation?

I would add a "None" choice for the screen choice field and have a transition defined against the "None" option being selected.

I had same question here and tried Raj's answer. The one issue is that a person can still select something from the dynamic choice AND select "None" since these are technically two different lists.  I also didn't see a way to unselect something once it was selected which adds to this issue.

Did I miss a step or another way to approach?
