How to turn on Delegated Authentication (SSO) for user ?

Salesforce must activate delegated authentication within your org - raise a case with support to do this.

 

Once this is done, you can modify the settings in the "Single Sign On" section of the settings (under "Security"). Users who should be authenticated with delegated authentication need a profile with the "Is single sign on enabled" flag checked. This field only appears once DA has been enabled for your org.
