Session Timeout Warning

I know there is a separate popup window "out of the box" but has anyone created a way to inform users they have been logged out of SF right in their browser session? We have some users who don't see the pop up and begin typing only to try to commit their changes and lose their work. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

No known way to do this today.   It's a good enhancement though.  We'll consider it in future plans.   Thanks!
