Dissable

Hi All
 
I want to make the custom case field  dissable(not read only) in "Edit" mode.Could any one help
me .

Not sure what you want to do here.

Do you want to have a field on the details page but not even show up in the edit screen?
Can you explain "dissable" in your example?

One thing you can do is have a formula field show the contents of your field. Formula fields don't show in the edit screen but show up in the detail screen.
So only admins can edit, or populate said field.
