case status field need to be readonly

Hello,

 

Can I make the Case status field read only for every user . If not then any workaround for this ?

Hi,

 

Since it is a salesforce standard required field, you can make this as read only.

Create  a only one LOV called 'Do Not Use' for Status picklist. So that users will get option to select values from Drop down.
