Gmail Integration with Salesforce.com

Hi Everyone,

 

I need to read the Gmail INBOX,after reading I get the Unique Id from the subject,Once I get the subject I need to query that records in salesforce and add one attachment to that and update that field .

 

Pl  suggest the approach .

Hi Sailer,

 

This integration is possible if GMAIL has exposed its services such as the GMAIl WSDL so you can access the methods through which you can inturn access the email(subject, body etc) and get it in Salesforce.

You may be able to achieve what you're trying to do via the app we make called Cirrus Insight.  It enables you do to lookups in Salesforce from Gmail as well as update standard and custom fields and log emails to Salesforce against any record.  Take a look on the AppExchange and see if it matches up with your use case: http://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N30000004fnkUEAQ
