666Chicago Is it possible? An s-control or apex code that forces lead to convert only to opportunity
Is it possible to create a s-control or write apex code that forces a user to ONLY create opportunities and not contacts?
Lots of our sales guys like to convert the lead to contact instead of opportunities which is effecting our Marketing's campaign/lead ROI. Though this is really a process issue, we're trying to solve it via technology to enforce a specific behavoir.

One option is to create a custom link that would create an Opportunity from a Lead without creating the Contact. There are instructions in the Help & Training about creating them along with the Developer and CRMSuccess sites. You would need to remove the Convert button and then could replace it with a Convert to Opportunity button.
There is most likely ways to do this within an sControl but it would take a little more time than I have at the moment.
