custom lookup field in oppty

Hello everyone,
 
I'm trying to find a way to update a lookup field (referenced custom objects) in oppty, but those lookup field is not visible through excel connector. Does anyone ever encounter that issue before?
 
I know that some of oppty record has the lookup field is being populated, but I couldn't find a way through either excel connector or data loader to see where the relationship is being stored and referenced.
 
Any pointer will be appreciated.

what version of Excel , Excel connector are you using?
you may have to point your Server URL to https://www.salesforce.com/services/Soap/c/7.0
in the login screen, click the Advanced button and edit the default

be sure you have the latest Outlook edition installed, check
C:\Program Files\salesforce.com\OfficeToolkit\3.0\SF_MSApi3.dll
should be version 3.0.0.40 created 3/142006
