Compile error in hidden module: DistMon

I am trying to get Connector installed and configured but I get the error "Compile error in hidden module: DistMon".  Once, I saw the floating toolbar, but have not been able to see it since.  I just get this error.
 
Any help would be appreciated.

I am also getting a similair message, but mine says:  Compile error in hidden module:  CResource

I recently upgraded to Adobe Acrobat 8 over Microsoft Office 2007. I just removed the folder:
Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12\XLSTART and that completely resolved the problem. Excel does not get the error messages and I can still create PDF files.

If you're not using Office 2007, try changing the above path to use Office11 or Office10.

No doubt I am too late for helping here but I just had a similiar problem refering to CResource.

I did the below to fix the problem:

1. Go to add/remove programs,
2. Scroll down to Salesforce Office Edition
3. Click on "Click here for support information"
4. Click on repair

Worked for me at least.
