Fields not visible via connector: Opportunity.Amount and Opportunity.Quantity

For reasons I can't figure out, I am unable to see the two standard salesforce fields Opportunity.Amount and Opportunity.Quanity (basically, the two most important fields in oppportunities).
 
Any ideas?  I've tried changing the API server url to a new 8.0 one and they still don't show up.

Doh!
I keep forgetting that the field(s) has to be visible in the view (assigned to the page layout) for the excel connector to see it.

Can you provide the sample code for mapping fields to pagelayouts plss,,

I am able to view required fields in the standard page layout.

Someone (in the past) had removed the fields in question out of the page layout... therefore I wasn't able to see them via the connector.

Otherwise, I am not using any custom code
