Sandbox issue with Excel Connector

I installed the Excel Connector and can log in fine to my production org.  However, when I try to connect to my sandbox I get an error:

 

Error generated by request: : not well formed at byte index 1898 exception code: 1

 

Could not establish connection to API service

 

Any idea what is going wrong?

When logging in with your sandbox username and password entered, click on Advanced >> and change the URL server to https://www.salesforce.com/services/Soap/c/16.0.
