Customisation of Communities

I'm looking to develop a custom look and feel for a Community.  Particularly the kind of look and feel that is often seen on demo sites presented by Salesforce such as the one on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoF45TwuzPo at 20:23 - the Cirrrus Demonstration org.  I understand VF and Site.com could be used but I don't know what would be involved in setting up this kind of look and feel (note particularly the tabs, rounded corners, clean layout etc).

Can anybody help please?

Hello,

Yes, you can customize communities with site.com. Please refer following help documents for better understanding:

Thanks Vinita, yes I'm familiar with that, however my question is really this, are there any templates or materials available to achieve the look and feel on the demo sites?

Hi John,

The demo shows that  it is quite easy to create customise the design of community but there is no document describe the process.

Below are the two options to do this

1) create all of your community pagesfrom site.com and create web tab using those pages and use them in your community.

2) below are the steps for the secon option

step1 :  create header and footer HTML page in any editor.
step2 :  import these pages into your public document folder
step3 : now edit your community and  click on branding and use the header and footer HTML page
step 4: now set the design using chrome developer tool and modify the css of header.html and footer.html

and here is your updated page.

Let me know if you find trouble in doing this.

Mark as answr if it solve your problme.

Thanks Ashish I am familiar with both those approaches, I was really wondering whether the demo site look and feel (i.e. the header/footer, css and js) is available via a template that is publically available.
