Convert 15 digit Account ID's to 18 digit ID's

My company would like to switch all existing 15 digit account ID's to the 18 digit format. Anyone know how to go about this?

There is a formula that performs it is called CASESAFEID . You can use it in a custom field and get value for your apex code.
