laxman.g1.3964314255283564E12 Autonumber with date, autonumber should start with 1 as the day begins, please guide me for this
Hi, this Laxman, my question is , i want to create autonumber with date. that autonumber should change whenever the date changes. i.e autonumber should start with one as the day starts. Is that possible in salesforce. Please guide me.
It is possible only when you do manual customization every day.
On the start of the day, Edit the autonumber field and change the field type to 'Text'
Again edit the Name field and change the field type to 'Auto Number' then it will ask for the starting Number there you can put '1'
Another option is creating one more text field making it as external id and then updating that field with a trigger on that specific object.
