Trigger-Encrypted field

Please let me know " if a trigger could evaluate whether the encrypted field has a value (not null) and populate another field based on that criteria?"

Are there any limitations.

Appreciate any thoughts on this.

Hi ,

Yes trigger can evaluate, weather encrypted field have values or not.

Limitation is that if you have "see Encrypted data" permission then only you can see the value of the Encrypted fields, otherwise you can use it, but unable to see the value of the encrypted field.
