What happened to the "data Loader"?

I'm trying to follow the instructions @ https://developer.salesforce.com/forums/ForumsMain?id=906F00000008lToIAI to do a mass deletions of custom objects.

But I need to use the data loader and I can't find anything named "data loader" however there is a "Data import wizard" which is labled as new .

I can use the Data import Wizard to do the same thing as the Data Loader?

Hi there,

You could go to appexchange site and search for data loader. There are better versions of data loader than what you are looking for and most of them are free. Hope you are trying to mass delete the records and not the objects!

Try following below path:-

Setup -> Develop -> Tools ->Partner-Supported Data Loading Tools

There you can use any of data loading tools.
