Global Search Results

One of our users is trying to search for a contact and when he enter the contact name in global search bar and click on search button, it shows only account records in the result but not all other objects. he do have access to all other objects. When he clicks on "Search All" button then it displays all other object records.

Why this happens?

When I and other users search, search page shows all objects at the first time itself.

Do we have any seetings or this particular user?

Please help!

Hi Nehaa, does this user work predominantly on Account records and not on the other objects - my understanding as per this article is that first results show the  object records viewed the most and when you click on search all - then it shows the other matching records user has access to:

'Your search results include items and tags that you have permission to view. Global search keeps track of which objects you use and how often you use them, and arranges the search results accordingly. Search results for the objects you use most frequently appear at the top of the list. If global search doesn’t have enough information about which objects you use, you see results for all objects until it has more information.'
