How to convert a site in salesforce into a community in salesforce?

Hi, I have a site in my salesforce org. I want to make it as a community. How can I achieve that?

You can expose your site to community by creating web tab.

Sorry but this web link shows, how to add ur site pages as a tab on your community. I want my complete site to be converted into in a community.
I have created this site, and I can not delete this site. Instead I want to reutilize it as a community.
