Developer Edition SF

Hi...
I have a Developer Edition. I am using it for over a month and it is not over yet. How come?
Is there a way to use SF FREE?

What is the best version and the price to develop applications, making maintenance and publish them on the AppExchange?

Thank you,

Hi Vanessa,

Developer editions are free and have limited features and licenses associated with it.

The one month Trial is different than the Developer Edition.

This dev edition is meant for developing apps for appexchange and developers to explore the platform free.

This dev edition remains for 2-3 years and might be blocked if there is no activity.

See more details below,

Does the Developer Edition expire?

Developer Edition organizations continue to be available as long as these organizations have some type of activity within the previous six months.

Hi Ashish,

So if I have a DEVELOPER edition it will expire only after 2 or 3 years and I can quietly develop applications, to do maintenance these applications and publish these applications on the AppExchange?
The DEVELOPER edition is free and I can use it in my enterprise?

The person who will use my application must pay a license Salesforce correct? The person is not a developer and will only use the SF platform with my application.

To create my application I created custom objects. When the client downloads my application on the AppExchange, he will have to create the custom object in Salesforce account him?

Thank you so much, you helped me A LOT.

Hi...
Last question:

How work 5000 API requests per 24 hours???

For example my clients use my application and for a whole day the maximum of clients that can access the application is 5000? (If all the clients make a request only).

Thank you!

Hi Vanessa,

API Calls for Developer Edition are 15,000 per 24 hours.

http://help.salesforce.com/HTViewHelpDoc?id=integrate_api_rate_limiting.htm

One single user record can call 15000 or collectively - but it should not exceed the limit.

If I have an application that sends emails, my client using this application, he can send as many emails he wants according to his salesforce license, correct?
Not only 15
