Enhancement to Salesforce Offline Edition to support Visualforce pages

Has there been any enhancement to SFDC that would allow Visualforce pages to work with the Offline Edition?

Unfortunately not.  The issue there would be that you'd need a local Visualforce server to generate the pages and bind against the offline data storage, essentially a mini-Salesforce on your laptop.
