How we can take a backup from site.com?

We have created a site using site.com. Now we want to delete the entire site but before deleting this site we need to take a back up for all the templates and pages(Meta Components). How we can take the backup for site.com?. I am not seeing any option for taking the backup from site.com. If anybody can help me in achieving this it would be great.

Hi Shivangi,

You can take export of alll things you have in site.com and also you can impot this .site file in new environment with the existing changes.
You can go to https://help.salesforce.com/HTViewHelpDoc?id=siteforce_website_export.htm&language=en_US (https://help.salesforce.com/HTViewHelpDoc?id=siteforce_website_export.htm&language=en_US)  for more information.

Thanks,
N.J

Thanks for the quick help N.J. Now I am able to export all the site.com files but the downloaded archive file is in (SITE) format so I am unable to view the contents of the folder. Can you please help me out in this?

You can go to setup>>Data Management >> Storage Usage to check data storage and file storage.

Storage is divided into two categories: data storage and file storage. File storage includes files in attachments, the Documents tab, the Files tab, the File field, Salesforce CRM Content, Chatter (including user photos), and Site.com assets. Data storage includes the following:

    Accounts
Article types (format: “[Article Type Name]”)
Article type translations (format: “[Article Type Name] Version”)
    Campaigns
    Campaign Members
    Cases
    Case Teams
    Contacts
    Contracts
    Custom objects
    Email messages
    Events
    Forecast items
    Google docs
    Ideas
    Leads
    Notes
    Opportunities
    Opportunity Splits
    Orders
    Quotes
    Quote Template Rich Text Data

Thanks.
