Hiding fields on standard page layout based on some picklist value

Hi ,

I have a requirement where I need to hide fields based on a picklist field value on a standard page layout.
Is there a way to achieve this without a VF page?

Hi Hitesh,

No you can not do this on Standard Page Layout, for this you have build visualforce page.

Hi Hitesh,

What you can do is apply a workflow rule for field update and change the record type according to the values in the picklist.

Hi Guys,

I cant go in either for a new record type or a VF page..
Can we do anything using Home Page components which would help in hiding the fields?
