I have one custom object and what would be the reason one user is not getting email alert notifications on custom object for last 5 months..

Hi in my orgnation we have list of users, in that users one user is not geeting email notifications to his mail,because he is the owner of the records but he can't get it, so what would be the reason and why user is not geeting email alerts on that records..whenever created the record on that perticular object
