Unwanted URL redirect

My company has a custom URL http://login.avinetworks.com/.  It redirects to https://avinetworks.force.com/customerportal/login.  Is it possible to set it up so that "http://login.avinetworks.com/" stays as is in the URL bar without redirecting? If yes, then how?
