How is the affect for reports after data type change on a filed?

I changed some field's datatype from number to currency. But when I create a report it will shows both before converted fields and after converted fields using converted suffix. Please let me know how to remove 'converted' suffix on report fields.

The converted and non-converted fields are not representing numeric and currency data, they are representing the currencies in actual and converted formats. This happens when your org has Multi currency enabled. The below post has more information on this
