How to enable knowledge base in salesforce community portal ?

I want to add standard search in my community portal . How to do if i checked it from Home page Layout but it not appearing in community page?

Knowledge is available to view with all communities licenses. An add on Knowledge license is required to create and edit articles

Thanks a lot Matthews to reply but I have already purchased license for my community portal than now i want to know all the steps where i can use it on my community portal.(I want to use Article Search in my community portal homepage as i used it on customer portal where any one can search only knowledgebase) @ [Matthews]
