Identity Connect "Internal Server Error"

Has anyone installed Identity Connect that can help me out?

I got the sync from AD to SF working great but SSO is where I am having problems.

When I try and login via the Identity Connect URL it accepts my credentials and says login sucessful then quickly changes to "Internal Server Error".

Not sure where to begin to troubleshoot as the docs are pretty weak and error mesages are quite lacking.

Check your Java version. It doesn't work with the newer versions. We downgraded to 1.7.0_72-b14 and it fixed the problem for us.

We are not using OpenID. We are Salesforce Identity and Identity Connect. It's supposed to auto coinfuigure the SAML part and I have confirmed I did all the steps in docs and everything in SF looks good.

Ok thanks, so is it the java version on the server where Identity connect instance is installed?
