Unable to create a conatct with Company Name from outlook

I'm using Salesforce for outlook  with two way sync enabled for Contacts.  When I create a contact  with company name and sync it errors out with below error:
Unable to access salesforce field AccountId. Make sure you have the correct permission for this field.
I'm a sys admin and have access to all fields.

When I look into the sync logs it shows a different error:
Create  to SFDC gave error(s) Sfdc.Server.SfdcRecordInvalidFieldTypeException:  Expected Type:tnsID Actual Type:String Field Name:AccountId ---> System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'System.String' to type 'Sfdc.Server.SfdcRecordId'.

Any help is greatly appeciated.

Thanks!
San

Have you tried to change the field mapping of Contact sync - seems like there is a mismatch of the fields which is syncing the Account name (Outlook field) to the Contact Account Name field(Salesforce field)

Any ideas on this issue? I have come across this exact same error message. Field mappings are correct. We have been migrating users from O2010 to O365 and this is when we noticed this error message. Users were also upgraded from SF4O v2.1 to SF4O v2.6.1

Checked a previous case where the issue was related to redemption keys in the machine registry. Could you try deleting the redemption keys following the steps in the article below:

Same issue here. I've been using SF4O daily for years and keep up with the updates as best I can. Mid-day today it started suddenly throwing this error.
