How to make Chatter available for public(Read Only-Without Login) ?

I want to display chatter to public, is this possible? Do i have to do a lot of coding in VF and APEX ? 

or

I want to make my community public, i,e., without actually logging in visitior should be able to see and traverse all the tabs available. Is this possible ? If so, how to achieve this ?

But, you got me totally wrong, or i haven't framed my question properly. 

In my question, i have not spoke about external-web-site. 

All i want is, i want to display the chatter for public(Read Only) right from SalesForce(Not from external-web-sites).

Hi Karthik,

it is not completely accurate to say that you can make Chatter "public." You can now expose a specific Chatter group and make that accessible to a guest/anonymous user, but you can't expose standard Chatter feeds or the like.

To make a Chatter group public, you will need to set up a Community. In that Community, go to Setup > Customize > Communities > All Communities > Administration Settings > Miscellaneous and check "Public Access." See below.
