Round Robin Opportunities

I need to Round Robin Opportunities between 3 people only when the Opportunity Record Type is Upsell. I created the auto number on the opportunity, but then it isn't even. I think the only way to achieve this is with a trigger. Anyone know how I can round robin opportunities?

First take a look at the App Ex to see if there are any Round Robin packages for Opportunities.  The only ones I know of, unfortuantely though, are related to Cases.  However, you could take the following unmanaged package's source and modify it so that it works with Opportunities in stead of or in addition to Cases.  https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N3000000178fsEAA

Instead of round robin opportunities you can round robin a meeting . Meaning the team that's responsible of identifying your upsell opportunities can book meetings with your prospects at a time that works for the prospect. Then the round robin can be smart and assign that meeting to a person that is available within certain parameters.
