Should Trailhead use Open Badges?
Trailhead is a great addition to the SFDC learning platform. And given SFDC's long-standing tradition of supporting standards and cross-platform integration, I think it would be really neat if the Trailhead badge infrastructure was built on top of the Open Badge Alliance (http://openbadges.org/) OBI standard. Then SFDC badge earners could have many more ways to make their accomplishments visible externally.

I think that would be really neat. I'm not sure who you could reach out to and have this filed as an official request. I would start with a IdeaExchange post and see if it gets any traction from there. Maybe tweet @salesforce and @salesforceDevs. I would upvote an Idea if you posted it.

Thanks looks like we are not going to that path in near future, but if we get plan down the road, we will touch the base with community.
