Time Dependent Workflow Constraint

I cannot add time dependent workflow when i select " created and every time its edited" radio button. Why is it so ????

Its salesforce platform standard restriction. Following might be the logic/reason for the restriction, if you put everytime created or edited then it will create again and again same time dependent action whenever you edit the record.

Eg: If you set the criteria as 'Account not equal to Null' and set the time dependent action
  • When you create the record, it will add the time dependent action in the queue
  • Again if you open the record and change/update the some other field like phone at that time also our criteria meet and add the more action in the queue.
