Hi David,
I tried responding to this email 334886@forward.cat and it is bouncing. Could you send me another email please? I have solutions for automating word and pdf documents in salesforce using congo and non congo solutions . I am based in Philadelphia and would love to discuss this further with you. Could you please let me know a best time and number or email id to talk to you further on this?
Thanks
Buyan

Hi David,
My name is Buyan Thyagarajan and I am a salesforce architect based in Philadelphia specializing in building force.com applications for more than 7 years.  Based on your need, here is my approach and solution.
1. Given the limited capabilities of salesforce to handle word, pdf documents, using congo composer and conductor products, we can create real time or batch process jobs which would read pdf documents and query the data and populate salesforce.
2. Now for word documents, I had created vba solutions which can parse fields in word and populate data in salesforce.
3. For pdf driven forms, I had also created custom apex jobs which would run outside salesforce , read pdf forms from a folder and populate salesforce using the api. This will use pdf libraries open source and can be an option if congo products are expensive which might be the case some times.
I would appreciate if you could let me know a good time and number to talk to you further regarding this? Couple of questions.
1. Are you planning to build an app on the app exchange or is this an automation of a paper driven business process which you plan to automate using salesforce?
2. Is this for your client or for your company? What version of salesforce do you use currently?
3. Could you send me a sample of the word or pdf document which you plan to automate?
Please let me know a good number or email to contact you further on this..
Thanks
Buyan
