How to create report from Custom Object history and Account

I need to create a report that shows text field edits made to a custom object grouped by the user associated Account. The users that access these records are customer community users, so they each have an associated Contact and Account entry. I have tried to create a formula field that populates the associated Account name, but there is no option to pull the it. 

Any ideas on how to solve for this?

Hi Brandon,

Can you please  clarify bit more .

If you want to create a formula field   in custum object  and want to linked to related account then you can create like below 

CreatedBy.Contact.Account.Name 

Then you can use in report .

Thank you! Now if only I could figure out how to filter on New and Old values in my custom object history report.
