Tableau charts/reports on a Visualforce page?

I have read in a few forums that there is a way to dispaly Tableau charts on a Visualforce page.  However, there is not much documentation supporting this.

Any help out there is super appreciated.
Cheers

Rene,

This page (http://www.tableau.com/about/blog/2013/11/embedding-sales-analytics-salesforce-canvas-25699) has some details on what you are trying to implement, and also a hyperlink to 'Salesforce Canvas Adapter for Tableau' needed. There is also a topic on Tableau support forum with discussion about it.
In general, you will need your Salesforce data replicated into the database, syncronization setup with the desired frequency. You Tableau server will connect to this database, so there will be a difference between Tableau reports data and Salesforce live data, depending what sync refresh time you configured. Tableau reports and dashboards are embeded into a canvas on Visuaforce pages, and it looks like it might be possible to have links from Tableau report items back to Salesforce records.

Feel free to ask for more details, I'll be glad to help

Tableau offers you a solution with the Salesforce Canvas Adapter, but depending of the level of integration needed you can implement the following very easily. With the method explained here you could save time developing the integration and therefore save money too.
